Today is a day of reflection of where our country has come from & still how far we have to go. My life now & forever will be thankful for all the men & women who stood up for civil rights for not only both black men & women but for our country as a whole nation. Yes today is a day of reflection of Martin Luther King Jr but lets not also forget Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, Dorothy Height, Ruby Hurley, John F. Kennedy, and many many more who embarked on a journey of civil rights and the freedom of ALL PEOPLE. And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of Gods children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!
