Today is a special day. My mothers birthday. This woman is the embodiment of selflessness. Always on the receiving end. The epitome of beauty and strength. Her patience is an admiration. Most of the time, it stuns me, that despite having gone through so much, You are still so calm, peaceful and thankful. Being an orphan already at an age younger than me.. Lost so many closed ones around you tragically and continuously, and still tackling lifes setbacks in the most elegant way like You do, gives me a source of inspiration. Words cannot describe my love and respect for you. I hope to become at least half of the mother you are, and Ill be one lucky lady, in sha Allah. Thank you Allah for the countless blessings in the forms of our parents, and everything else. Verily, our indebtedness to our parents is so immense that it is not possible to repay it fully. I hope to make You proud and the happiest soon, in sha Allah. “And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them your Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood. (17:24). Lastly, heres a beautiful and powerful prayer for our beloved parents. Always be kind to your parents, pray for them and honor them. Ameen. Happy birthday, mom.
