Today is a very special day. The first man I ever loved was born on this day, 59 years ago. My daddy is my hero. He has always been such a wonderful light in my life. He taught me to love music, books, people, etc. He taught me to be open-minded, but not to be so open-minded that my brain falls out. Ha! He also taught me how to play baseball and instilled the love of baseball and football in me. He is the best example of a Godly husband/dad! I always said I wanted to marry someone like my dad, which made me very picky when it came to dating, because he set the bar ridiculously high. Hes always been my biggest fan, and the best shoulder to cry on. Over the past 2.5 years, hes been a ROCK for this family. He has gone above and beyond the call of husband, dad, and dad-in-law. Hes done SO much for Jeremy and I and I will never be able to thank him enough. Hes seriously my favorite 59 year old in the world! Hes a brilliant teacher and hes always the one I go to whenever I have questions about life, love, or God. He doesnt judge and he loves everyone. Hes known as The Great Librarian in Hazel Green, and it fits him perfectly. Happy birthday, daddy! I love you to the moon and back! Now, heres my new favorite video of my daddy.
