Today is always a sad day for me. Its the day I lost the woman who taught me that being old fashioned is okay even in the modern world. The reason I started OneCause1Cure and the fashion for a cause show. Today, 11 years ago, I lost my grandmother Christine Jenkins and Ive never recovered from that lost. My day has been filled with tears and bad news, and my only concentration has been her. Her birthday is the day after mine, so even though I cry a little every day, two days out of the year I ball my eyes out wishing I could touch her or hear her voice or walk into her home and see her just once. Im so lost without her. She was my best friend. She gave me my other best friend, my mom...and how can you ever just forget someone as amazing as that. Today feels like a fresh wound, and I cannot contain my tears.
