Today is another big day, have a potential buyer from southern California coming to see the horse facility. Her kids all moved to WV from there and now shes ready to move with her 9 horses. I told her Id take 50k off the price if shed let me board my horses there the rest of their life (id still do and pay for their care) and I offered owner financing. Its a pretty good deal for the both of us. I dont have to deal with 6k culvert repairs and horrific perils and liability insurance ($350. a month) and she gets out of the desert, gets to have water and wont have to pay 12. for a square bale of hay anymore, plus she has a hubby for honey do lists. I had to pay for my honey dos to be done or do them myself. :) Ill still have the house and 8 acres across the street and a great view of the pasture. And maybe if it goes, with this little co-op situation I can get to travel some. Its been so long since I could go anywhere (ever since Teresa Rainey was here in 2004, that was my last vacation and the last time Ive spent a night away from the farm, 10 years is too long, no wonder i get so loony sometimes). Ok, so maybe I am picky about the horse care too. Teresa was always so good at doing everything just as I wanted. Hoping it all works out. She flew in last night and was suppose to be here at noon but already texted and said she couldnt wait, shes coming now. haha. it would be a big potential move for her and her horses.... grass, snow, cold, frozen buckets, 4 seasons..... big adjustment for all but i think a good move. Im not sure things are going to get better out west with the water situation. Hoping it works out.
