Today is baseball, karate, and sr. prom. :) This coming week the college kids start moving back home. The Morrow house is about to be busting again with activity and adjusting to a summer of a new norm. Change can be wonderful and stress inducing on some family members at the same time, from room re-assignments for the summer to fit everyone back in, to the constant re-arranging of cars in the driveway, to the line for the washing machines or bathrooms. When youre in someone elses space in such an intimate family setting, undoubtedly toes get stepped on and agitations cause flare ups. THIS is why I start each day with a quiet time in my bible & prayer. For me, for them, for peace and love to reign. My little pocket of space with my God who soothes me and calls me to Be Still before I walk through my bedroom door to noise and chaos and oftentimes, mess. :) Whatever your family routines look like for the summer, be sure you take time out to start your day in a quiet space. Even if you have to wake up while its still dark to do it. :)
