Today is bittersweet. Two young men with whom Ive lived the longest, are moving out and into our independent living facility. They deserve it and Im proud of them. But I will certainly miss them. I also have three new guys moving in, all of whom I am familiar with but dont know well. Theres a certain optimistic anticipation working with new personalities, both individually and collectively. It can also be draining, especially around the holidays. But with each new experience, I learn a little more about people and a lot more about myself. Thats what makes this job so rewarding. I may not make much money but Im paid extremely well.
