Today is election day. I have had several people PM me and ask me to give my opinion on some of the issues and candidates. Sorry folks....not going to happen. Its a secret ballot for good reasons. I will say that although affiliated with a political party, I have voted for candidates of both parties many, many times, and although not registered as an independent, I would say that I would certainly qualify as one. I vote for the person as much as the party, although if I am unsure, I most definitely go with party standards. All I know is Its heartbreaking that so many hundreds of millions of people around the world are desperate for the right to vote, but here in America people stay home on election day. And corruption is rampant! I believe we have too many politicians and not enough true statesmen. Politics can be one big game, and those who dont play it usually dont get elected or re-elected, and that is sad. A citizen of America will cross the ocean to fight for democracy, but wont cross the street to vote in a national election. Bill Vaughn Please, no matter what your affiliation is, get out and vote today!
