Today is going to be a tough day for me. Tony and I are going on a quick weekend trip to visit our kids in Colorado. And we arent taking Batman. Although hes a great little traveler, its hard on him with the airlines. Unfortunately, the airlines dont make travel with dogs user-friendly, or inexpensive for that matter. (For those that dont know, even if you bring your pooch on the aircraft as a carry-on bag they still charge you $125 per direction). Which I will gladly pay, and have in the past because its worth it for my piece of mind. However, on short trips we think its less stressful on Batman so we leave him home in his large Batcave where he is safe, comfortable, and is completely confidant in his surroundings. He will be loved and watched round the clock by his loving Aunty Brandie too, and I trust her implicitly with him. I know that its probably not rational for me to get such separation anxiety for just a couple of days, but alas, I do. The other dogs I dont worry about. They have each other, they have the doggy door, vision, etc. Batman just has Tony and I. So, I fret. And will until I hold him in my arms again on Monday-I will think about him constantly. Sigh. Its great to be owned by dogs, isnt it? Have a terrific weekend everyone. I am pretty sure Brandie will post lots of video and pictures of our little Batboy in my absence. Hugs to all!
