Today is my 60th birthday and I decided that this would be a great day to retire. 35 years ago Im graduated from nursing school and started on an incredible career path. Barbara (who is also an RN) got to give me my RN pin and my best friend, Sandy Kincade Hutton (who is an RN), stood right by me. These 2 amazing people were my inspiration to be the best RN I could be. As I say goodbye to nursing, I reflect on all the opportunities I had throughout my career and all of the life lessons it has taught me. I thank all of my co-workers for the love and support during these last 35 years. It has been a great ride. The time has come to start a new chapter and enjoy life as a retiree. My husband retired in May, after 34 years as a clinical Pharmacist. We have a long bucket list and we are looking forward to many new adventures.
