Today is my Anniversary. One year ago today my doctor placed a picc line into my heart and I daily infuse powerful medication into it. One year ago today I was having trouble talking, I could not get home without using my GPS. One year ago today my short term memory was about 10 seconds long, I could not remember the name of my best friend, i would put things down and turn around in a panic not knowing where they were. Many things have changed over the past year. Its been a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Some things are better, but many more things must change. I worry about boring people with my journey while wanting to shout it out to the whole world because the majority of people have no idea how horrific this disease is. I am a warrior. I will shout, I will fight, I will educate, and I will protect those I love from ever having to walk this road that I travel every day. If you are tired of hearing me talk about it, then just have conversations with someone else. Skip by my FB posts without reading them. I will continue to travel the journey with God carrying me during those times that I can not walk. He has blessed me with an amazing husband and wonderful children who support me and love me, warts and all. Anniversary. Not Happy, but Anniversary nonetheless.
