Today is my Dads Birthday & Death anniversary. Frank Joseph Kotula, I celebrate the short time I had with you on this earth. I have asked my soul to bring up memories; I am finding a storehouse full: Pulling the cushions off of the fancy couch and Listening to The Shadow radio program with him. Reading the Sunday comics together. He caught me dancing in the living room and even though I was embarrassed and hid behind the wingback chair, he told me that I shouldnt stop because it was beautiful. He also told me to stick my finger in a bucket of water... Did I leave a hole? He didnt think having a big ego was a good thing. He comforted a stranger who had been struck by a tree branch while we were hiking; his act of compassion still inspires me. He had a singing voice like Bing Crosby and played any instrument he picked up; he always brought music into every occasion. As long as there was a piano, he would improvise any song. I think Ill stop here on FB but my soul is flooding my memory!! Miss you, Dad.
