Today is my Mickees 10th birthday! She was a surprise addition to our family only because we had hoped to add a daughter of Ch Klassics Tia Maria, a beautiful Keeshond, the previous January(2004), but there were no puppies. I went on to contact another Keeshond breeder, from Wisconsin, and bought by beautiful Molly Bean who became, eventually Ch Markwrights Oops I DidIt Again RN CGC. Little did I know I would get a call on July 19, 2004 from Marge White and Mary Beeman to tell me that the second breeding of Tia and Friday(Am/Can Ch Keeburnie Blue Ribbon Friday had produced a litter of puppies and they were saving a female for me! Uh-oh!! She would be our 4th dog and 3rd Kees! I neednt have worried!! Mickee has been a JOY since the day we brought her home the day after Labor Day, 2004. We packed her and the rest up in the motorhome two days later for vacation and she has been one of the best travelers, patient puppy trainers, and best buddies ever!! After trying Conformation (13 points), but having to wait till I finished Molly, Mickee decided she much preferred obedience- teaching me mire and more as we moved thru the classes. Then we added rally obedience and Therapy Dog training. Many wins/placements and some not so great trials - usually my fault/ring nerves or Mickee not wanting to make mistakes- along our journey together thru the years. Mickee is now Klassics Play With Fire CDX, RE, BN, CGC and Therapy Dog. She is the sweetest Keeshond and still a little clown, still learning and still my best buddy - ready to go anywhere anytime I ask her. I will post some pictures of Mickee later today.
