Today, is my dad, Jim Lewiss 93rd birthday. In 93 years, this man has survived....... Being born as a tiny twin, in 1921 .....imagine the technology...or lack of, that it took to keep him alive, The depression, Singing with the Kalamazoo Mens Chorus Being a radio singing star in Michigan and Chicago WWII, in a submarine (he met his first-born daughter when she was 18 months old Owning and flying his own airplane Falling from the top of a utility pole 5 more children ........4 more girls and 1boy Working under the streets of NYC during a brown-out A heart attack Working in Alaska and Montana Retiring from the U.S. Navy, Michigan Bell Telephone and Harris-McBurney......then getting another job being a consultant Prostate cancer He got another job ( a driving job) in his 80s..... finally retiring at 90 Life threatening pneumonia (twice) Singing in the Vista Grande Villa Mens Chorus Being married to our mom 60+ years 5 daughters 1 son 12 grand children 17 great grandchildren His goal is to live to be 99 and 1 day. Happy Birthday Dad....I love you, and I am so proud to be your daughter. Thank you for teaching me to be strong, not giving up, thank you for the work ethic and being able to do anything I want or need to do to. pammy
