Today is my final day of Session in the Michigan House of Representatives, and last week I gave my “farewell” speech. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to say farewell to friends… To my staff, past and present, you have blessed me from day one through your hard work and dedication that have allowed us to run a successful office and accomplish great things together. To my loving family, three daughters and amazing wife: I did not go on this journey alone, and could not have done it without each one of your support; thank you for being my rock when I needed you the most. And, finally, to the residents of the 35th District: thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve you. It has truly been an honor and privilege. While it’s been an incredible ride for Team Hobbs over the past four years, this is not farewell. My journey is not over. I am still inspired, by each one of you, and very much have a desire to serve. So I do not say “farewell,” Facebook friends. I say: I look forward to seeing you again.
