Today is my moms surprise brithday/retirement party back home. Shes been working in the school cafeteria for 30some years, with a vast majority of that as the head lunch lady. You all may have had crappy lunches at your school, but at my school, you knew you were going to get a great lunch. In fact, it got to the point where us Waughs were picked on if we didnt eat the school lunch. I love my mom, but Im proud of her for dealing with the bureaucracy as long as she did. And I know whoever comes after her is going to be spending more time on paperwork than they will in the kitchen, itself. And Im sad for the future generations that wont have her famous potato chip cookies to nibble on anymore. Love you, Shelley Long Waugh!
