Today is my parents, Mike and Sandi Petersons, 45th wedding anniversary. 45 years folks. I thank the Lord God every day that I have such an incredible couple to whom I can look up to. Mike and Sandi are parents to two amazing children, myself and my courageous sister, Tonya. They are wonderful grandparents to their 6 grandchildren, Briley, Greydon, Alisha, Rogan, Deacon and Josephine. They are a brother and sister, they are an uncle and an aunt, a great-uncle, a great-aunt. Furthermore, they are great friends to countless people, many of whom I respect greatly and look up to. Their tight-knit small church is truly one large family. They are an awesome couple who compliment each other perfectly. Dad with his quiet wisdom, Mom with her ability to take action and turn a mess to success. Their marriage is the one I measure all others against. Their consistency, humbleness, and servant attitude towards one another is unparalleled. These are all great feats, and something to strive for in a marriage. However, I know that they would say that their marriage has lasted for one reason, and one reason alone: Their mutual faith in their Creator-King Jesus Christ. Your passion for Christ is what drives me, guys. Your constant reminder of Keeping The Main Thing, The Main Thing echos in my daily life. Drawing nearer to Christ, in turn, draws you nearer to each other. Making that constant daily decision to put Christ on the throne of your lives instead of something else. What an absolute honor to even know these folks, let alone be constantly learning and growing from their insight. Their wisdom, generosity, faith, grace and Love transcend time, and will be remembered by me in this life and the next. Congratulations Mom and Dad. You guys are an absolute miracle.
