Today is national Autism awareness day. Please take the time to educate yourself a lil on the subject. I think new stats are saying 1 in 65 kids are now being diagnosed so we need to make sure not only we are aware but that are kids are as well. Looking back now I see that perhaps some of my highschool classmates had some form of autism and most of them were bullied...I would give anything to go back & stick up for them but since I cant Im going to teach my kids that being witness to bullying & doing nothing is just as wrong as bullying itself. Autistic children tend to have different interests and different ways of communicating but they can still make the best friends ever...I know this because my bestfriend is autistic love you AJ.
