Today is not just Australia day, its also Australias way. Its not just a country governed by law, but a country that protects the freedom of all. I call Australia home, because I was born here and like our National Anthem says with courage let us all combine. I heard a homily yesterday that hasnt left my mind yet. How we live in a country that has so much, yet we still want more. Things we take for granted, others are praying for. We have lost the meaning of Australia. Because weve forgotten how to live a simple life. We would rather attack, then defend the rights of what is wrong. Were capable of peace, yet we bring war. The priest mentioned taxes and how people find any excuse not to pay them. Or the way our country should be run. The priest said we shouldnt complain. We should all just be good Christians. Its so true, a good devout Christian wouldnt complain, or gossip or hate the way of life here. A Christian should be setting an example, not only to others, but to the world. Some people within the church have made mistakes. Just like our government has made mistakes. Yet people only speak about the negative, instead of the positive. Finding problems, instead of solutions. Give to Caesar what is Caesars and give to God what is Gods. Look at third world countries, some governments take what is Caesars and what is Gods. Their are people who try and ruin the way of life here, finding loop holes in our system to take what is not theirs to begin with. We have benefits that help struggling families, yet some take advantage of that. We have clean roads, schools hospitals, medicare and centerlink. Without these, we would be no different than a third world country. The world doesnt make poverty, our pockets do. God bless everyone who has supported the way of Australian living here, as truly we should be so grateful to live in such a country that provides more then enough for all of us. Peace is much better than war. Unity is much better then division. Take the Australian out of Australia and your left with nothing. God bless all Australians, as we bring blessings to the world.
