Today is our third day serving. Today we are headed to Grace - TopicsExpress

Today is our third day serving. Today we are headed to Grace Village and visits to the elderly. In Haiti, the life expectancy is age 51. The elderly we visit will be between ages 50-103. Yesterday we served water to Cite Soleil. The poorest city in the world. And Tuesday we visited Mother Teresas home for sick and dying children and Gertrudes Orphanage which is the home to 45 children of which half are severely disabled. Jeff Gacek, Healing Haitis founder is here this week and has joined us for dinner this week. I have never felt more respect for anyone for what he has accomplished. He was searching for a purpose and listened to God. We all have three things: Time, Talents, and Treasures and what we do with those can make a difference in the world. Our time is short here but we are the hearts and hands of the lord, serving him this week. HealingHaiti.org Each night we have word of the day. Here is the list from Tuesday: Hope Love Trust Appreciation Dreams Serve Dirty Touch Overwhelmed Peace Dad Balance And yesterday.
