Today is such a sad day. Seems like there is a black cloud hanging over us all right now. I know feelings are raw and everyone is grieving in their own way but I wanted to take a minute to ask a favor. In a circumstance such as how we lost Steve it is very easy to get wrapped up in the whole revenge or vigilante justice mindset. I truly believe with all my heart that Steve would not want anyone who loved him to do something that would cause them to lose their freedom, or possibly their life, even if it is in his honor. Please think before you act. If the suspect hasnt been apprehended yet and you see him please just dial 9-1-1. Let the proper authorities handle the situation. Trust me, he WILL get what he has coming to him in this life AND the next. Karma will get him here but God will take care of the big picture. The person who committed this heinous act against Steve and Tracey doesnt deserve to have any affect whatsoever on another living person. He deserves to be locked up like the animal he has proven himself to be by his actions. Whatever happens to him while he is locked up happens and is most definitely deserved. If he is convicted and given the death penalty then his BIG judgment day will come sooner rather than later. I would hate to be him when he has to stand before his creator and explain why he took a life he had no right to take. That is when the REAL judgment will come and, trust me, it will be severe. Im saying all this to tell you the best way we can all honor the memory of Steve is to remember him through sharing stories and photos... laughing about something he said or did. Remember him as the good guy he was in this life and rejoice in knowing that he is beyond good where he is now! Pray for his family and circle of close friends during this trying time. Ask God to send them comfort and peace quickly. Pray that the person who took Steves life and attempted to take Traceys is captured without anyone else being injured or killed and is brought to justice quickly so Steves family can get some closure and begin the healing process. Please dont allow your anger or grief to cloud your judgment and cause you to make a bad decision. Steve was a good guy ... he wouldnt want anyone to take matters into their own hands to defend his honor and wind up in prison or possibly in the grave. The person who pulled that trigger is trash. Trust me when I say the trash will be taken out in the end. In Steves memory, may you all be safe and live long, happy lives. Love each other! God bless us all!
