Today is the 24th of October, which marks Malaysias turn to undergo the UPR session by UNHR in Geneva, Switzerland. If you have been following the updates, you would know that a group of 54 liberal NGOs under the name of The Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process (COMANGO) had submitted a report to the UN which among others, has demanded quiet a number of things which clearly portrays their agenda to undermine the position of Islam and Malays in Malaysia. This includes questioning the Syariah laws implemented in Malaysia, promoting the rights of LGBT, demanding for absolute freedom of religion which includes allowing Muslim to leave Islam (murtad) for another religion and many others. The full report could be read here: suaram.net/?attachment_id=5504 A group of Muslim NGOs, aware of the threat that COMANGO is imposing towards Malaysia and Islam as the religion of the federation, are currently in Geneva to observe this crucial session and will surely do what they can to protect our country. You can follow this group at Muslimupro and you can read up this website ( azrilmohdamin ) for updates in Geneva. In support of MuslimUPRo and protest against COMANGO, a group of young muslimah has spent some time to draw some wonderful posters. They may not be a professional artists, nor are they well known figures in Malaysia, but they are true Malaysians whos trying their best to do what they can to help protect Malaysia. By this poster-drawing activity, it is hoped that Malaysians would be aware of this critical date today, aware of the threat by COMANGO and together support MuslimUPRo. So, here I present you the posters. Lets spread these posters to all to show our support! You can also design and share your own posters as well if you want :) And lets all continue to pray for Malaysia, our beloved country, may it be protected from ill-intentioned, liberal groups like those of COMANGOs.
