Today is the 314th day of the Incline adventure for Change4diabetes.org and I completed ascent number 1,300...ending the day at 1,302. And I am tired...VERY, VERY tired!! Still no days off and averaging about 4.15 ascents per day since the beginning. It is 16 days until the Incline closes for the rebuilding project, so well see how many ascents can be added to the 1,302 between now and then... A sincere thank you to the many people that offer words of encouragement as Im stumbling around on the Incline... It is greatly appreciated! :-) As the adventure winds down, I will do my best to update FB a little more often. And to answer a question that is popping up... Yes, this is a new world record in terms of vertical feet climbed in a year. If the Incline is 2,000 vertical feet, Im at roughly 2.6 million vertical feet climbed (one way) in 314 days. The previous accepted world record was held by the Canadian, Greg Hill, in which he climbed 1 million vertical feet in a year, one way (ascent only). I could go on and on, but Ill stop. :-) Here are some pics...
