Today is the birthday of my eldest grandchild, the first bright light of my only daughters life!.........I remember getting that call from Japan, in 1991...... saying congratulations Grandma!...to which I replied oh no!..... I am too young to be called grandma!...so we decided that I could be Nannie.........and that is what I have been for these past 23 years!...... although I still feel like I am too young...... in the spirit,...but the body is telling me otherwise!.......and it is certain that though I may feel like I am 23.... and I am sure that the grandkids feel the same way....especially when I constantly asked her to help me learn some new fangled cellular technology! lol!........I hope that our grandchildren know.... that this is just what we grandmothers do!...lol!........and we also get off by telling embarrassing stories about our grandkids.........because that is our reward for being blessed with the greatest gifts of all...our future!........enjoy your special day my beauty!..... and do not worry........for someday.... you too will have your chance to embarrass YOUR own grandchildren!........I love you, my first light!, Miss Rhea!....Deborah Nannie McKeithen
