Today is the day!!! I will be moving up to Rehabilitation with mixed emotions. The staff has been wonderful and Ill miss them, however I know its a step closer to my recovery and getting home. The nurses, nurses aides, physicians, therapist, housekeepers, technicians etc. have made my stay on this floor so much more comfortable & relaxing than I couldve hoped for. My surgeon told me that he had never had a patient like me before in his life. I hope it meant that in a good way. Whether he did or not, Im going to presume that did.LOL The thing that I will not miss is this BIG BALLOOON thing hanging in a tree outside my window waving back & forth taunting me my entire stay here. Ive told all of my visitors about this situation, thinking that someone would take the initiative but nothing so far. I know there is someone in this town that has a big boom lift or a good fisherman that could climb a short distance up the hill and hook that sucker and get it out of the tree. I was told by one nurse that it had been there as long as she can remember. I thought a couple of times if I had a 22 I could probably shoot it down. Im concerned about this because I think the next patient will be irritated by it as well...MAYBE NOT.. That is the one & only complaint that Ive have since my arrival. Looking forward to my Moving on Up today with high hopes & great expectations. After all, I have a Wedding and our Annual Family Christmas to prepare for within the next few weeks. ALL IS GOOD....
