Today is the day that our first Protest SeaWorld By Sea was scheduled. However, as shown in the video below (taken this afternoon), the SeaWorld stadium on Mission Bay is empty. The stadium is used for SeaWorlds human acrobatic show, Cirque de la Mer, which ended 8/17/14 and will not resume until June 2015. The orca and dolphin shows are not located on Mission Bay, they are deep inside the park in chlorinated cement tanks. Our flotilla would not be seen from the cetacean shows. We have a choice to proceed with our protest on Mission Bay regardless of the empty stands now, or we can take the time to prepare for our first flotilla in June 2015. The Cove will advertise our event on their Facebook page. In the meantime, we are seeking people with the following skills: graphic design, fabrication of banners, flags & t-shirts, spokespeople, media experience / press releases, etc.
