Today is the first of a new Month.....and the end of a dynasty..if thats the right word.....My Auntie Aggie passed away at the age of 95 earlier this morning....And with her....the end of The Storie Clan from Inveravon Terrace.....oh theres offspring obviously..but none have the name Storie....accept me....but im adopted...so there goes the bloodline... My Aunty was my Dads older sister by two years....a big family....and every one of them highly intelligent....however they came from an era where..in a working class family..Intelligence wrongly wasnt high on the list...work was..money......and it was needed quickly......without it.....dire circumstances were just round the corner......Ok im sounding a bit like Charles Dickens.....where im actually coming from is.....Its said she died in her 96th year.....automatically you say..Wow....she had a good innings...and yes she did.pared to others that didnt see 50.....but in retrospect....did she.....She was widowed in 1969......That shattered her..took her along time to get over that..she had the love of her children Jim and Christine......but as I know too well with my Maw.....it doesnt really light the candle.....but it does keep the flame going..... She was a big Favourite of mine.....Id go and see her....She lived in the classic mill house.....oot the scullery window was The Mill wall....it was depressing.......but did she complain..NO....she just got on with it.....Oh I Loved ma Aunty Aggie......I hadnt seen her for years.....but that never stopped me shedding a tear this morning when I heard the news.....Not in the greatest of health....shes left this world and gone onto the next one..where everyone is waiting.......Its not goodbye Aunty Aggie.....its see ye soon.....Tell Dad I Miss Him.......XXXXXXXXXX
