Today is the first official day of the series “START LATE, FINISH RICH" Series. The first tip is, “Don’t leave money on the table!” Does your company match a percentage of your 401(k) or profit sharing contributions? If you are not taking advantage of the employee match, you are leaving money on the table. This is FREE money. Assignment: Contact your HR dept, and change your contributions to a minimum of the amount that the company matches. “ Are you a 1099 Contractor or otherwise self employed? Consider an IRA for retirement savings (A 26 year Financial Planner will explain the differences in IRAs later in the series). Most people say, “I can’t afford to save.” Financial gurus say, “You can’t afford not to save. Social Security is changing and not enough...
