Today is the last day of DxEs fund-matching drive, where every donation is doubled by anonymous donors. In that spirit, Ive decided to donate $300 to DxE, and encourage you to do the same (directactioneverywhere/donate). DxE is an entirely grassroots network of animal liberation activists that has exploded from one chapter to over 70 cities in 17 different countries around the world, all in a year and a half. We emphasize using evidence from history and social science to make decisions, and are extremely efficient per dollar. As a single example, our investigation of a Certified Humane farm cost us under $5,000, with the vast majority of the expenses going to veterinary care - 50,000% cheaper than other groups doing similar investigations that save no animals and do not inspire sustained networks of activists. And as DxEs lead press coordinator, I can also say that despite being very low cost, it will have enormous public impact, since it will be featured in the one of - if not the most - famous newspapers on Earth, which will almost surely inspire a larger media firestorm in the US. So if you can, please donate. But even more importantly, join us on January 11, as we share Mei and Sephys story (two chickens rescued from this horrible facility), expose the corporate empire behind their suffering, and speak strongly for animals with dozens of cities across the world: https://facebook/events/329720813882638/ Additional thanks to some of DxEs largest public donors, including but not limited to Diane V Gandee Sorbi, David Chudzicki, Kirstine Høj, Penelope Green, Saif M. Khan, and Wayne Hsiung. #DxE #untileveryanimalisfree
