Today is the last day of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Take a moment to look at the pictures of this little boy. Our cancer story did not look like the one from this article - though we certainly had a bumpy road too, I feel blessed that when it was her time to die, it happened quickly. We used to be regulars at Primary Childrens Hospital and while there I saw firsthand what chemo does to kids (and to their parents). Its horrible. Chemo is NOT a good treatment option, but for many children with cancer, its the only option. Pediatric Cancer research does not get enough funding - billions of dollars were spent on the last round of presidential campaigns; pediatric cancer research is no where close to the billions range. Thats not right. Do what you can - if nothing else, you can at least help spread awareness.
