Today is the official Apraxia Awareness Day!!!! This is the day that we need to educate people about apraxia and its very really existence. We need to speak up for children with apraxia, and encourage others to do the same! Every child deserves a voice! To celebrate this very special and important day, Nicole Young-Cline is doing a presentation on the topic of verbal apraxia of speech for BabyNet professionals at the clinic. We will also be hosting an Apraxia Awareness Day gathering from 3:00 to 4:00 at Young Talkers for children diagnosed with apraxia and their families. We will have refreshments, be making apraxia awareness shirts with paint, reading books, playing games, socializing, and allowing parents to network and talk about their journeys. We are very excited about this opportunity to celebrate this awareness day! We are also very happy about many of the children diagnosed with verbal apraxia of speech that we have worked with in therapy and continue to work with that have made wonderful progress!
