Today is the release of a much awaited film called ‘Expose’. No, there is definitely no ‘pun’ intended here :-P It’s just that I want to draw attention to a beautiful song from this movie. A few days back it was playing on the car radio and the moment I heard, it was love at first sight. The tune is amazing. And the lyrics even more! (y) 🎵 ‘Dard dilon ke kam ho jaate, 🎵 main aur tum gar hum ho jaate 🎵 🎵 Kitne haseen aalam ho jaate,🎵 main aur tum gar hum ho jaate’ 🎵 Perhaps the lyricist had in mind the usual starry eyed boy serenading to a dreamy girl kind of song when he wrote it; the gist amounting to ‘Oh! how wonderful it would be if you and I became one’ or some such romantic implication. But every time I hear it, I find a deeper meaning; that which includes not just two people but the entire global gang. Therefore I translate it as: 🎶 ‘The pain in every heart would be at ease 🎶 🎶 If ‘I’ and ‘You’ would be known as ‘We’. 🎶 The good thing about the future is that it hasn’t happened yet. And the best thing is that we still can make whatever we want of it. We have a long way to go. And yes, there is always hope!
