Today is the saddest day of my life. It was on this day last year that most unexpectedly my dear father just left us. But God has ways to make one feel better. As if to console me the public defense and viva voce of my dear research student Mary Liya was fixed today itself and she has been awarded the doctorate. In fact Liya is my 18th student who has successfully completed her Phd under my guidance. A nice gift on this sad day.
