Today is the twenty five year anniversary of Spike Lees first and probably most influential movie, Do the Right Thing. Gayle King interviewed him this morning on CBS. During the interview, Lee made the comment that everything is hard when they talked about the fact that getting the movie released, while keeping its controversal ending intact was a challenge. I have great respect for Spike Lee, his talent and perception, but I am forced to question his statement that everything is hard. Everything isnt so hard for those of us who choose to go along to get along. Everything isnt so hard for those of us who are blessed with material goods and ignore those who arent. Everything isnt so hard for those of us who always go along with authority even when it is corrupt and misguided!
