Today isnt a day for me to laugh, play pranks, or create mayhem. Today is a day that I remember the greatest man to ever live. Mr. Melvin Eugene Schumacher would have been 69 years old today if he had not decided he had lived a worthy life and was finally done with the pain. He saw 4 kids graduate college and got to spend a year with his grandson before he made his decision to move on. I know it was his choice, and have the utmost respect for the fact that he was able to push on for so long to make sure we were alright without him. I will spend my day honoring him for being the best human I have ever know. You are my inspiration, my guide, my protection, and the model in which I am, and will always be striving for not only as a father, but as a human. Thank you Most Honorable Grandfather, I would not be anything if it was not for your undying patience and love for me. I will see you again, and we will fish forever!
