Today isnt a day off - a holiday. You are home from work or school because of the magnitude of what today holds. Youre home so you can remember that you live in a country that is FREE, and youre home so you can remember the men & woman who fought and died for that freedom, for you be able to have a holiday today. You are home today to thank a veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve - they , at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to their country, for an amount of up to and including THEIR LIFE. And if youre not home today or able to go to a full Remembrance service - you can still remember. Still honor. Still respect. Even if its just a pittance of time, stop at 11 & remember.
