Today know that you are loved and that you are blessed to be a blessing to someone today. You may ask how can I be a blessing to someone? I dont have money to give to anyone. Even in the little things we do as sharing a smile or even saying hi. Yes and sometimes it is giving a gift of money to someone less fortunate than us but I tell you that you can do more with a smile and a kind word than money. So many people in this world just want to know that someone cares enough about them just to say something. Let me tell you a story that my youth pastor once told me, that has always kept me mindful of what I am speaking to you today. There was this man that walked into a public restroom. When he walked in he noticed a shabbily dressed man. At that moment God spoke and told him to speak to that man. He quickly thought this cant be you God. He heard the voice a second time telling him the same thing. The man thought again no way Lord, not me. He quickly finished his business then started to head out. Once again God asked Please talk to that man and tell him that I love him. He said again Im sorry Lord I cant do it, then he walked out. As soon as he walked out the door, he heard a gun shot from inside. He went back and found the man on the floor. This story has stuck with me for 23 years. Always thinking what would have happened if he had told him that Jesus loved him? It is not easy because fear tends to get in the way, but we should never be afraid to share the love of Jesus, through a smile or a hello. Never take for granted a small thing that can go a long way for some one else.
