Today let us all pray for patience. In this hurried world we all need a good amount of it. Without patience we become very tense and angry. Yet if only we apply a small dose of patience events can take a happy turn, so let us all ask God to help us use this virtue. Dearest God teach us to be sweet and gentle in all events of our lives, in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others, in the insincerity of those we trusted, in the unfaithfulness of those on whom we relied. My dearest Jesus teach us to be patient when all day long our hearts are troubled. Patience is such an important antidote to anger dear Lord, help us to recognise it as one of the virtues which strengthen our faith. Dear God,as St Francis de Sales once wrote, have patience with all things but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them- every day begin the tasks anew. As we meet one cross after another, let us whisper a word of love to You dear God. May our lives be lived full of love and patience and strong in our love towards our Lord. In Jesus Name Amen
