Today, like many other Holidays, is a day of opportunity. Whether you observe it or not. The message sent is that someone unconditionally gave of themselves to help others. We all can do this to some extent. If only for a day. We can make a difference to someone. A smile, A hello. A cup of coffee, can let someone who is suffering know they are not alone. It can make a world of difference. Giving, even in the smallest sense of the word, can mean the world to someone else. We do not know their journey and we often do not know whose lives we have touched. We can also use this day as an opportunity to heal. To bring an end to pain, to begin healing. To bring new life to dying situations. Even if it does not work, the effort is important. Each of us has an opportunity today, and everyday, to make a difference to someone else.
