Today makes two years that I have been employed by Partnership Housing, Inc. It has been an amazing two years that has had many learning experiences, wondering if I doing something right or wrong, many sleepless nights trying to think of funding opportunities in order to close a project, seeing very grateful new homeowners and existing homeowners and getting to know many wonderful and patient people along the way because I have called them numerous and I mean numerous times to ask some of the craziest questions. I have great Board Members, staff and AmeriCorps members whom have made my daily tasks much easier. I have learned throughout the two years that alone I can accomplish very little, but with a great team, community members and organizations, we can accomplish the unthinkable. I am proud to say that since October 1, 2012 we have brought in over $3.0 million of grant funds, approximately 1.0 million in loan funds and secured $40,000 in local contributions. This has resulted in the completion of 17 new energy efficient homes and 74 rehabilitation projects. When your job becomes your passion, then you realize this is where you are meant to be in life. I am very thankful that many people seen a passion, dedication and drive in me that I didnt even realize existed. Partnership Housing, Inc. is a thriving organization who will continue to grow, prosper, and will keep building new energy efficient homes and repairing existing. It is only up from here and who knows what we can get accomplished in the next two years but all I can say is I have plans!
