Today marked a very proud occasion for Port Arthur Historic Site as the Penitentiary was officially re-opened. Federal Minister for Environment and Heritage the Hon Greg Hunt and Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman joined Chair of the PAHSMA Board Professor Sharon Sullivan to celebrate the completion of the project. The audience were treated to a fine performance and a spot of morning tea while taking in the astounding transformation of the cherished Penitentiary building.
