Today marks 10 months since Brandon had his wreck when trying to miss a deer and flipped his truck and then hit a tree. He remains in a semi state of consciousnesses...barely out of a coma. We are trusting God to care for him and bring him through this shadow of death. I cant imagine lying or sitting 24 hours a day in whatever position someone places you in without moving to get more comfortable. I cant imagine not taking anything...food, water, medicine... ANYTHING...by mouth for 8 hours..much less 10 months. I cant imagine not being able to interact with my family and friends...even for a short time. I cant imagine how Id feel if I woke up and realized I missed my entire Junior year of high school, my baby brother was no longer a baby, and I have a new baby sister (soon to be born). I just CAN NOT imagine how it would feel at all! Please continue to pray for Brandon to get well and come home. We have made some strides...He is breathing great and may get his trach out soon. He hasnt been sick for quite a while...no more pneumonia, etc. Maybe his brain is healing as he sleeps...I pray it is so. I know it will probably be a long time before we see any great improvements in him but I, being human, want to see it NOW. I know how important it is to Wait upon the Lord and I plan to do just that. We will continue to hope and pray and believe! Psalm 42:3-11: Day and night I cry, and tears are my only food…. My heart breaks when I remember the past…. Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise Him, my savior and my God…. My heart is breaking…. He has sent waves of sorrow over my soul…. May the Lord show His constant love during the day, so that I may have a song at night, a prayer to the God of my life…. Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled?
