Today marks a whole year since The First Man In My Life lost his final battle & left behind a ship without a Captain, which for a time floundered as it struggled on oh so many levels to come to terms with our loss. During this time we as a whole family have experienced amazing highs, devastating lows & everything in between. For sure our lives will never, ever be the same again. Things have been tough & over the coming weeks will be tougher still for very similar reasons. Dad was a family man through & through & wanted no more than to see each & every one of us safe, well, settled and most of all HAPPY, the last one has been a bit of a challenge this last year for sure but were moving forward as he would have wanted and for me I shall be using the following titbits of advice he would dole out to us on occasion and I suspect especially today! Look after you & yours - No matter what happens keep smilin & whistlin and one he leveled at me often - Susan stop chuffin; about - I somehow think he would have been using this particular one quite a bit of late and I would give anything to hear him say it ! Our lives are forever Autumn now hes not here
