Today marks one year since Sen. Al Franken and I introduced the Affordable College Textbook Act, a bill that would vastly expand the use of “open”, online textbooks and improve the affordability of a college education. Textbook costs can often be overlooked, yet these costs can often be a roadblock to a good, quality education.
