Today marks one year since my brothers accident and I can still remember it all like it was yesterday... When I got the phone call from my mom that Connor had fallen, it didnt really hit me at first as she had no idea what had happened. The whole way to the hospital I had so many thoughts going through my head, I really had no idea what to expect until I got there. Once I walked into the hospital and saw my entire family was a complete mess I knew it wasnt good... They gave me the choice to see Connor after the doctors and nurses were finished and as soon as I walked into the room where he was, my heart broke... I was so sick to my stomach seeing Connor laying there in the shape he was, so helpless and broken... I kept thinking to myself why him? Ill honestly never forget seeing him that night but Im glad I did. This past year as horrible as it was I watched Connor fight through all his injuries and overcome obstacles even after being told he most likely wouldnt. Its a miracle Connor is where he is today, but with all the support from everybody and his will to fight, he pulled through! Hes so strong, he never gave up and still continues to push himself everyday! Connor Dick Im so proud of you! Youve come so far in such a short time, you truly are an inspiration! Im so glad youre my brother and our family is still whole
