Today marks the 25th anniversary Of the Tienanmen Square Massacre by the communist Chinese government. This month, also, Poland celebrated the rise of Solidarity, the labor union movement that ended communist rule in Poland – and directly led to the fall of the Soviet Union. Communist China forbids labor unions. The communist Soviet Union also prohibited labor unions--and was defeated by one. Think about that the next time someone accuses union supporters of being “Marxists.”
