Today marks the 3rd full week of my journey. As I promised to both you and myself, I am going to make weekly check-ins to keep me honest and you informed. My weight loss was 2 pounds this week for a total of 18.6 pounds shed. My blood sugar levels continue to stay on average at least 100 points below where I started. I have a ways to go yet with my blood sugar levels. I want to get them back down in the normal range and (hopefully) if my doctor agrees, wean myself off my medication. My challenges this week have been finding/making time for exercise. That continues to be a work in progress. Also, while I have had no specific cravings and havent been tempted to over indulge or binge or anything like that, I catch myself having to be real careful and specific about portion control of allowable foods. I think its just a throw back to my old way of eating which was portion-out-of-control. I am just having to remind myself that even when the food is healthy I still have to watch portion size. So...those are my confessions...lets call them projects...for the upcoming week: 1. making time for more exercise and 2. keeping an eye on portions. All-in-all, its been a very good week and I continue to stay motivated and encouraged by the results Im seeing. You all are fantastic and I have appreciated all the positive comments both here on FB and in person as I see many of you on an almost daily basis. I will continue to keep you updated on my progress.
