Today marks the four year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. Since then, Americans have seen an unprecedented flood of “dark money” enter our political system. This special interest money is secret and subject to abuse by organizations, donors and the government itself. This needs to change, and that’s why I’ve introduced the 501(c)(4) Reform Act, legislation that will help get “dark money” out of politics and increase transparency by making sure the public is aware of the source of campaign spending.
