Today marks the official wrap up of the garage project! I honestly did not think we would get this all done this year. Lots of help from my dad Peter H Rempel helped make it possible, and lots of help and patience from Maggie R. Nighswander. In these pictures are shown the things I finished today: trim on the windows, inside wall closed up (with all kinds of wiring done behind it), a shelf and counter top made with wood salvaged from an old sheep feeder (has a really nice patina from years of being licked and rubbed by sheep), and a short section of fence to close in the space between our garage and the neighbors. In sum, here are all the things we did to the garage: - removed all the cardboard covering the inside walls - demolished two sections of wall - put in new beams and posts to make those sections open - put in two new doors - put in two larger windows - painted yard wall - whitewashed inside - new board and batten siding - two fluorescent lights for the workshop area - new motion light for covered area - new motion light for inside garage - tidied up wiring - new workbench and shelf - new potting area and shelf - fixed sagging roof line - new shingles - extended fence and built new gate I think thats about it.
