Today message was the first in our new series entitled BREAKTHROUGH!!! Breakthroughs are not easy and are not accomplished without effort and understanding. You cant merely sow a seed and purchase a breakthrough. Rather, you must understand the theology which undergirds a biblical breakthrough. Exodus 1:1-20 is tailor made to to teach us how to properly position ourselves for a breakthrough. Joseph was arguably Egypts greatest blessing. He saved them, and everyone else in the known world from one if that times greatest famines. Over time . . . Egypt got new leadership which has forgotten about Joseph. 1) Problem begins when we forget our blessing. When Egypt forgot their blessing it became #2. 2) Forgotten blessings become today burdens. The Israeli people who were once Egypts blessing now became Egypts burden. When you are burdened long enough, your burden becomes #3. 3) Todays burden becomes tomorrows bondage. The Israeli people were not only enslaved but horribly mistreated. BUT God continued to provide increase for Gods people through the entire process. When we can declare BUT GOD even when we forget our blessings. When we can declare BUT GOD even under a heavy burden. When we can declare BUT GOD even in bondage . . . Then we are candidates for BREAKTHROUGH!
